Very Important Reminder: Anyone who says they need to be convinced to not vote for Trump is voting for Trump.

The daily reality of Trump has not managed to convince them. They’re just casting about for their excuse now.

They’ll tell you their excuse is you, if you let them

Baby prisons and family separation and concentration camps and open mockery of the Statue of Liberty haven’t convinced them, but now it’s your job to convince them.

To what will you have to agree, in order to convince them?

Withdrawing from global accords crafted to address an extinction level threat, even gleefully accelerating the causes, has not convinced them, and now it’s your job to convince them.

To what will you have to agree, in order to convince them?

A pattern of lying, getting caught in the lie, retrenching to the new lie, while using his office to attack those who proved the lie; of constant obvious lies and outright nonsense—this has not convinced them, Convincing them is your job?

What lie do they require from you?

Defending Nazis didn’t convince them. Neither did using Nazis’ slogans, or their catch-phrases, or hiring them as advisers, or pursuing their policy objectives, but now somehow it’s your job to convince them.

To what will you have to agree, in order to convince them?

To answer the predictable response: I actually *do* think people can be convinced!

I just think the people who say they *need* to be convinced are lying.

And the way you convince people is by standing for something, not by pandering for nothing.
