I like the twttr app. The people who are working on it are talented and hardworking. But what they’re working on is a gentle redesign — not a ‘rethinking’

Redesigns are good! And overdue, in Twitter’s case. But a true rethinking would involve, say, eliminating quote-tweets, or letting you tweet only to your followers, or letting only followers reply to your tweets. Not just threading replies
