Activists' job: to frantically raise warnings about impending catastrophe that will devastate generations of humans.

Your job: to critique activist messages. "Eh, this one's too hot...no, too cold... sorry, too science-y...nope, not technically accurate..."

Boy I can't wait until activists find that exact right message, the one that will make people feel juuuuust the right mix of emotions, so that finally everyone will act to save themselves and their children & children's children.

Humanity's epitaph: "We could have saved ourselves, but activists never messaged us exactly right so we couldn't be bothered."

(Ugh, no, this has nothing to do with Franzen. I don't know why everyone's paying that guy so much attention.)
