You know the burnings they held outside Humboldt University (and elsewhere across Germany) in '33 were the prelude to very real state repression of authors - several who died in concentration camps, right?
Dachau opened within months of the embers dying.
A gaming platform or a publishing house saying 'No thanks, we're good' is in *no way* equivalent to inflaming public tensions against an author as a prelude to their surpression.
To think otherwise is historically illiterate and just plain fucking dumb.
