Seeing a lot of “remainers should get/should have got on board with Brexit and influence(d) the outcome”. This is, I’m afraid, entirely bogus. UKGov has not listened to experts, moderate leavers, any remainer, civil servants, diplomats, SM/CU proponents.

It won’t start now.

It’s done this deliberately, as a matter of policy. Many remainers, including Open Britain, set out specifically to influence and soften Brexit after the 2016 ref. They were ignored, and castigated as remainers plotting to avoid a ‘real’ Brexit.

UKGov has taken the view from almost the start that the 2016 ref gave them a mandate to unilaterally decide what constitutes a ‘real’ Brexit, and for them to change that definition at will according to internal party pressures.

This is a very obvious attempt to close down opposition and criticism. Why now? Because the opposition is growing to a dangerously large level for the govt, and may reach critical mass, as the criticisms are shown to be obviously and undeniably true.

Though they’ll continue to attempt to deny that the awful shit-tip we see right in front of eyes is anything other than the foothills of the sunlit uplands. It isn’t. It’s an awful shit-tip. That’s what it is.

Remember, the sole, single, unique objective of the government towards the population on Brexit is to get them to quietly accept whatever happens and STFU.

So, obviously, don’t.

This is unfair. There are two objectives. Accept and STFU, and blame anyone but them for the damaging consequences.
