My first 5 jobs, starting at age 14
1/ HTML dev
2/ Perl backend engineer
3/ Y2K systems troubleshooter
4/ Graphic designer, marketing
5/ Full stack PM/designer/software engineer
My first job I got by cold calling the Internet section in the Yellow Pages. I got a job making city websites in 1996 for $7/hr. Later I found out they billed me out at $20/hr.
My first coding job was working for @andrew_sather and Jen Wolf (both of whom I now work with @Initialized). Andrew created Adjacency, the first web design firm to do full page bleeds on the web and also created the first Apple Store online.
