Maddow just said she's working on a story about the possibility Barr shut down Mueller's probe in March. This returns us to *Matt Schlapp*—spouse of a top Trump aide—tweeting that *he already knew* before Barr's confirmation that when Barr became AG he was going to end the probe.
1/ If evidence emerges Barr did what Schlapp predicted he'd do, a good percentage of Americans will understandably think that the White House and Barr secretly agreed Barr would end the Mueller probe upon his confirmation—and this may have been a prerequisite for his nomination.
2/ Obviously we're not there yet, but everything that happened today, including statements by AG Barr the likes of which we've never heard in American history, would suddenly make sense if Barr was hired to be the personal counsel to Trump that Trump always said the AG should be.
