Been seriously enjoying Dark Devotion.
It's a weird game in that it's sorta roguelike-ish? There's no procedural generation, but there is permadeath, and you fill out the map with each run. It's clunky, but really compelling.
It's definitely gonna exist in the shadows of Dead Cells, it's nowhere near as intuitive, and it's a lot slower, but the combat feels so god damn weighty and I love that! Everything feels like it has such heft to it, it's satisfying.
The pixelart is great, the bosses are terrific, and if this had come out like 5 years earlier it would've been a revelation. It kinda feels like it's already dated. But at the same time, that's why I'm liking it so much, everything's got these big windups and charge ups, it rips.
