Besides Boeing, Bell Helicopters, a subsidiary of industrial conglomerate Textron, is also working on a similar product that would transport people around cities. Both companies are working with Uber, which hopes to launch a “flying car network” in the near future.

2. Golf cart size electric transport pods (max speed 50 MPH) that can accept wheelchairs will be another disruptive inter-city transportation option. This “pod-sharing” could eventually become autonomous but for now plug the gap between Lime-type scooters/bikesharing and Uber.

3. I pitched this pod concept to Uber a few years ago and as of now there still is no one in the market doing this - could easily be a $5 billion US annual market for such podsharing
