Which is better?
1. #HandMarkedPaperBallots, which are counted on scanners & CAN provide the basis 4 a meaningful manual audit or recount?;

2. Machine-marked paper ballots, which CAN’T provide the basis 4 a meaningful manual audit or recount, & are counted on scanners? Thread.

Because realistically, if we spend all of our effort on hand COUNTING, we will be stuck with option 2. 2/

I prefer hand counting as well, but it has been hard enough to move the needle on hand marking. If we get hand marking, there is at least hope. If we are stuck w/ machine-marked crap, we are making things WORSE. 3/

We can advocate BOTH, but pls don’t tell me not to advocate #HandMarkedPaperBallots. I am trying to make progress in whatever way I can. So far, this is working. The least amount of electronics possible is my desire. Thanks. 4/
