4.5M kids in the US around unsecured guns, yet the @NRA opposes ALL laws holding gun owners accountable when people are injured due to negligence: "The NRA opposes these laws because they are unnecessary, ineffective and endanger law-abiding gun owners."
In fact, the @NRA is actually suing the city of Seattle for a new law that would fine gun owners for not responsibly storing their firearms, including a fine up to $10,000 if someone uses their negligently stored firearm to commit a crime. Seems fair, no?
