A new kind of rewind: BMW's Reversing Assistant takes over the steering to retrace your vehicle along a path recently negotiated forwards - useful on narrow streets when you meet another vehicle and have to reverse or to get in and out of parking spaces.

2. If a new obstacle pops up (a kid or a bike) the parking camera and sensors detect it and warn the driver or cancel the rewind mode. It works to retrace the last 50 meters traveled and operates at speeds below 22 MPH. Clever.

3. Meanwhile, Tesla’s self-driving has come a long way. Imagine where this technology will be in 5 years.

Fewer fatigued drivers on the roads = fewer accidents and deaths = Huge positive impact to the cost of healthcare in the US and around the world.
