College is mostly about the connections - you make better connections at some than at others and that makes all the difference for the select people who are able to attend just long enough to make crucial connections, drop out and pursue a groundbreaking business idea.
2. The common denominator in this list isn’t skipping college but *attending it long enough* to gain important knowledge or a future cofounder with whom to pursue your idea. For great ideas, time and 💰 is of the essence, so why spend crucial months/💰 trying to finish college?
3. Besides, if you are able to attend Stanford or Harvard or MIT and dropout to pursue an idea, some VCs are bound to be more impressed with your grit/risk-taking than if you decided to play it safe, stayed behind to finish your degree program.
