How many times do Republicans have to show Democrats what they are? McConnell just revealed his talk of principle over Merrick Garland was a farce. Does Dingell not think the GOP will move to impeach the next Democratic president—without Democratic support—over basically nothing?

1/ There's a point in an abusive relationship in which one has so internalized the abuse that one decides that courses of action that objectively would be deemed warranted are somehow "unfair" and must be eschewed. Democrats are at *that* point in their relationship with the GOP.

2/ When a Democratic legislator says there can be no impeachment without bipartisan support, they prove that they have not yet accepted the political environment of 2019, and instead are living in the political environment of 1989. As a constituent, that would *gravely* worry me.
