1. I've always thought that Members of Congress and US Supreme Court Justice are way under protected for how public they are. You saw the incident today with Senator Harris. I also think about the shooting in 2017 at the Congressional baseball game.

2. The only reason that shooter was gunned down was because Rep @SteveScalise was there and he had a security detail because of his position in leadership. If he hadn't been there, there could have easily been multiple casualties.

3. Supreme Court Justices largely eschew security details, something I understand from their perspective, but not from the perspective of safety and the public good.  https://www.rollcall.com/news/policy/group-raises-concern-about-protecting-supreme-court-justices
