Hertz rolls out something I proposed 10 years ago but it’s twice as expensive and offers half as many vehicle swaps per month, but still groundbreaking. Imagine not being tied to one vehicle for 24-36 months (or longer!) as is typical in most lease arrangements.
2. @Budget or @Alamo should roll out a $500/month vehicle subscription where you can switch out vehicles on a weekly basis and that price should include full maintenance and insurance. Cancel anytime.
3. Auto industry could subsidize this subscription and it would get people (who today are shunning vehicle ownership/leasing because of Uber/Lyft or fear of long-term commitment) into (hopefully zero emissions) vehicles they would not otherwise consider.
