I still don't understand why Disney didn't make Dark Phoenix a direct-to-Hulu or Disney+ release.
Everyone knew it was bad. Why spend on marketing, split revenues with theaters versus use it to drive subscriber acquisition
There are counterpoints, but beats losing more money.
