BREAKING -- CBP has released border numbers for May. Just stunning
144,258 apprehensions plus inadmissibles, up 32 percent from April
More than 100k were families or children
680k processed during first 8 months of FY19
132,887 Border Patrol apprehensions in May
84,542 family unit members
11,507 unaccompanied children
36,838 single adults
“We are in a full-blown emergency, and I cannot say this stronger: the system is broken,” said acting CBP Commissioner John Sanders.
CBP has detained more than 680,000 border-crossers in FY19, Sanders said, “more than the population of Miami.” Our story https://wapo.st/2HVC129?tid=ss_tw&utm_term=.f068ca4308bd …
