Sadly, no. ES&S’s machine-marked so-called “paper ballots” use unverifiable barcodes AND abbreviated text that NASEM says is “virtually unusable for verifying voter intent.”
These risky systems are enabled by ambiguous “voter-marked paper ballot” & “paper ballot” messaging. 1/
Election insiders have decided that “voter marked paper ballots” & “paper ballots” can mean either HAND MARKED paper ballots OR machine-marked SUMMARY cards with or without BARCODES. This is why the #HandMarkedPaperBallots hashtag is key. We will be scammed w/o specificity. 2/
From the 2018 NASEM report: “Unless a voter takes notes while voting, BMDs that print only selections with abbreviated names/descriptions of the contests are virtually unusable for verifying voter intent.” https://www.nap.edu/read/25120/chapter/6 … 3/
