“We must do better, and we must treat this problem like the humanitarian emergency that it is. That starts with me.” In a letter that is being sent to constituents today, Mayor Garcetti addresses last week’s staggering homeless count numbers.

The letter makes a connection to the economic inequality that’s creating the crisis, and asks startups, businesses, and landlords to offer resources for safe parking, rapid rehousing, and more jobs.

Also in the letter are promises for more services, a new team to speed up HHH approvals, and a legal assistance fund (which I think was announced a few weeks ago, but is still fairly new).

Not seeing it anywhere online yet but will share full text when I do. Or if it’s a letter to constituents, maybe you’ll get one mailed to you?
