A reminder that these videos aren't cute or adorable. This is unnatural behavior for elephants and requires training. There is no humane way to train an elephant to do these sorts of tricks.
2. I understand this sentiment, but if you follow me you'll notice I post plenty of elephant videos that allow the public to learn about the incredible intelligence and empathy of elephants. No reason to make them perform....
3. Elephants aren't dogs...not even close. With respect to their intelligence, empathy, they're light years ahead of dogs.
Also plenty of trainers/handlers hug an elephant, that doesn't mean they weren't trained in a cruel fashion.
