Breaking: Maine's Dem-majority state House voted 79-68 to reject a bill to add Maine's 4 Electoral College votes to the National Popular Vote Compact despite it passing the state Senate. Maine is 1 of 2 Dem-run states along with Nevada to reject bills to join the National Popular Vote Compact this year, but 4 others joined in 2019 (CO, DE, NM, & OR).
