NEW: Team Trump swings at the Democrats' post-midterm statements at the start of their Deutsche Bank appellate brief.

My prior story on the ruling this challenges at @CourthouseNews:  https://www.courthousenews.com/subpoenas-targeting-trump-bank-records-get-lift-off/

The brief:  https://www.documentcloud.org/documents/6161001-Trump-Second-Circ-6-18-19.html

Just like in their D.C. appeals, Team Trump hints at the judges: Your taxes could be next.

"Anyone can be a 'case study'—an average citizen, a political opponent, even judges and law clerks hearing a case that a congressional committee deems important."

Note: Federal judges, including Supreme Court justices, routinely disclose their finances, unlike this particular POTUS. It's a bit of a head-scratcher to cite this argued as an ominous or portentous development.
