Florida's DMV is selling personal information on drivers to private marketing firms, bill collectors, insure companies, and data brokers. Holy fuck.  https://www.abcactionnews.com/news/local-news/i-team-investigates/i-team-florida-dmv-sells-your-personal-information-to-private-companies-marketing-firms

"One of the data brokers accessing Florida DMV information is Arkansas-based marketing firm Acxiom, which has an agreement with the state to buy driver and ID cardholder data for a penny a record" – that's what your info is worth. A fucking penny.

Oh, and if you'd like not to have your personal information sold for a penny. Well, fuck you, no: "A state spokesperson said there’s no way for drivers to opt out if they don’t want their personal information sold".
