2. Elon Musk was determined to move to the US 🇺🇸: “America is where great things are possible, more than any country in the world.” Knowing it would be easy to get into US from Canada, he went to Canada 🇨🇦 first, while also avoiding mandatory military service in South Africa 🇿🇦.

3. Elon Musk was an avid reader as a kid. He taught himself programming and sold a video game he created at 12 for $500. Musk dropped out of a PhD program in energy physics at Stanford (after obtaining undergrad degrees in economics and physics) to launch Zip2 with his brother.

4. While at Zip2, Elon Musk wanted to become CEO but none of the board members would allow it. Compaq acquired Zip2 for $307 million in cash in 1999. Musk pocketed $22 million which set the foundation for his future tech ventures: , PayPal, Tesla, SpaceX…
