Amazon's secret work to embed Ring in every police department is by far the most concerning thing the company has ever done. Don't tread lightly on this. The technology is actually a tool for tyranny. We see this in China. This is not a prediction anymore.

"Noticed you have been posting alerts & receiving feedback from the community... You are doing a great job interacting w/ them & that will be critical in increasing the opt-in rate. The more users you have, the more useful the info [police] can collect”  https://www.vice.com/en_us/article/43kga3/amazon-is-coaching-cops-on-how-to-obtain-surveillance-footage-without-a-warrant

Imagine going to work and writing this. These Ring conversations with police are truly dystopian. "'Seems like you wasted no time sending out your video Request out to Ring Users which is awesome!!' a Ring 'Partner Success Associate' told Maywood police."
