Absolutely no one could have predicted this 

The idea of combining roads and solar panels is about as coherent as fire hydrants that double as coffee vending machines

Put your solar panels in dedicated solar power plants (best). On rooftops. Inside roundabouts (which are just about everywhere in France). Anywhere.

There is no reason to put them under the wheels of thousands of 1.5 ton vehicles going at 90 km/h

If there's a word for the opposite of "synergy" (disergy?) it's what you get by merging road surface and solar panels...

Hell, just put them on the side of the goddamn road if you like the placement so much

Now, back to that coffee fire hydrant blueprint...
