In a recent podcast interview I said that I have always wanted to live a life that would allow me to tell great first person stories. Sidney Rittenberg is an example of a person who could tell such stories. Sidney Rittenberg was an advisor to a small band of hard working entrepreneurs who pulled of the unthinkable at the World Radio Conference in Geneva in 1995. I recall Sidney saying to me once it was easier to go into solitary confinement the second time since he knew that time he would eventually be released. First imprisonment: 1949-1955. Second: 1968-1977. He attributed his 1st survival in solitary confinement to a Markham poem:
