Speaking of kids and having their picture taken. This article about what's going on with face-recognition cameras in America's summer camps has been giving me nightmares for over a month now. It's truly and tragically sick.  https://www.washingtonpost.com/technology/2019/08/08/summer-camps-turn-facial-recognition-parents-demand-more-smiles-please/

"When a camper isn’t smiling or is on the outside of a big group shot, counselors said they know to expect a phone call from back home... ‘Were they being left out? Are they okay? Are they in the infirmary?’" 💀

"A lot of the girls will say, ‘A photo a day keeps your mum away,’", you couldn't write a more harrowing proverb if you got the entire Black Mirror staff on it.

"The company’s terms of service say that a camp or parent who uploads a photo automatically grants Bunk1 “the royalty-free, perpetual, irrevocable, nonexclusive right and license to use, reproduce . . . and distribute” the content worldwide."
