If you'd recall, China's health ministry started a probe into vaping before Juul entered shelves, around the same time as these lung illnesses began appearing, weeks before the CDC's warnings.

Will be interesting to learn if the federal government has reason to believe there is criminal intent — like the Tylenol Murders — or if this is merely a tainted upstream supplier. Wrote more about how this fairly recent boom of global supply chain faults:
