IS HK POLICE PAVING WAY TO KILL PROTESTORS?
As #PoliceBrutality escalated in recent weeks, this is a dangerous yet unsurprising warning that #HongKongPolice plan to use live bullets against protestors. But when and how they made such decision matter. https://bit.ly/2ktHmVD
The timing suggests that police might well be planning a bloody crackdown upon Beijing's order, two weeks away from the 70th China’s National Day. All these are to uphold President Xi’s image at the expense of people's basic freedoms.
The police's decision is more like a response to the
@amnestyusa's recent criticism on #PoliceBrutality. It is disappointing that they refuse to justify their misconduct and escalate their use of violence. Such reckless decision must be condemned by international communities.
No doubt Hong Kong is on the brink of another Tiananmen Massacre. We urge world leaders to speak up to prevent bloodshed in Hong Kong.
After all, political crisis can never be resolved by bullets and guns. Instead of ruling the city with force and fear, I urge Hong Kong and Beijing governments respond to our Five Demands. Democracy is the only way out.
