Juul's rise was an absolute regulative failure. But to think that it was solely because of their flavors is just absolutely wrong. It was correct for Obama's FDA to shoot down that ban — but then that FDA also failed to regulate access & marketing. https://www.latimes.com/politics/story/2019-10-01/vaping-flavors-obama-white-house-fda …
This entire vaping firestorm is insane. The FDA & CDC are still failing to project factual messaging to protect consumers from injury — and the entire narrative (the media included) is being weaponized by the White House. This is harming real people.
They could stop this, even now, after failing to adequately collect data for years on e-cigarettes and the consequential chemicals & supply chain mishaps of the industry. There is no comparison for the failures at every level of this story. https://twitter.com/i/events/1179094661903745024 …
There is literally no rationale or explanation for any of what we are seeing. We’re like 4 days out from a Simulation Confirmed moment of the Vape Era
More junk science being elevated in this storm. Obviously breathing hot, unregulated & untested liquids into your lungs will prove not great — but to use the weight of the ‘causes cancer’ label with this flawed, limited mice study is just irresponsible. https://twitter.com/i/events/1181298363712466944 ….
