Trump's crimes aren't simply about forcing a foreign power to interfere in U.S. democracy. This is about an American president extorting Ukraine with the death of their citizens if their president didn't knuckle under.

Russia's war on Ukraine has cost over 10,000 deaths and 30,000 casualties. Trump threatened to leave them defenseless to watch more die if they didn't help him in the 2020 election.  https://www.unian.info/war/10416549-donbas-war-death-toll-rises-up-to-nearly-13-000-un.html

That's not just a disgusting abuse of the office of President of the United States, defiling every value our people hold dear.

Trump has combined election interference, extortion, and treason - the most serious felonies in our society.

America is not only charged with impeaching Donald Trump as President - that much is far beyond obvious.

America must get this criminal off the streets as well. He is a remorseless menace to civilization.

Whether thieving from business partners, laundering the profits of drugs, weapons, and rape, or working to harm America on behalf of foreign powers, Trump is a cold, hardened criminal who has escaped consequences for too long.

His first consequence should be impeachment.

This seems like a very applicable statute for what Trump has allegedly done:

U.S. Code § 878. Threats and extortion against foreign officials, official guests, or internationally protected persons  https://www.law.cornell.edu/uscode/text/18/878

The president of Ukraine is a foreign official. Trump threatened to withhold military aid that would protect lives - potentially that of the president, certainly Ukrainian citizens.

Trump's a U.S. national. Zelenskyy a foreign official. A threat, quid pro quo.
