Congress needs to pass a law requiring media outlets to identify when they have taken story ideas and quotes from foreign agents or PR firms.

America has freedom of speech for Americans, and a free press. That must be preserved at all costs.

Foreign powers and PR firms do not have the right to covert propaganda.

The Founding Fathers were near paranoid about two things:

- Any domestic government that might quash public debate like King George III

- Pernicious influence of foreign empires

These freedoms and safeguards can both be preserved very easily - mandate the identification of all paid speech about domestic politics and geopolitics.

Same as what FARA tried to accomplish in 1938 against Nazi and Soviet propagandists: allow freedom, identify agents.
