The Getty fire broke out along the 405 Freeway near the Getty Center and was spreading to the south and west.

Mandatory evacuation zones have been expanded for those close to the #GettyFire.

About 3,300 homes were under mandatory evacuation orders as the fire rapidly spread in the early morning hours.  https://www.latimes.com/california/story/2019-10-28/fire-along-interstate-405-near-getty-center 

Here are the evacuation orders, road closures and shelters for the #GettyFire:

#GettyFire traffic Update:
All lanes of the southbound 405 Freeway through the Sepulveda Pass are closed.

As alternative routes, consider Coldwater Canyon Avenue, Beverly Glen Boulevard and Laurel Canyon Boulevard.

In 2017, the Getty Center closed for the day because of wildfires burning across the 405 Freeway. However, the museum's sophisticated air filtration system makes the building the safest place for the collection in the event of a disaster.

All Santa Monica and Malibu schools are closed due to the #GettyFire. Some Los Angeles Unified School District campuses are also closed:

Air quality in the L.A. Basin has worsened along with the #Gettyfire. Here's a list of those who should take extra care as air quality deteriorates.

UCLA has announced that classes are canceled. The university said the Getty fire doesn’t pose an immediate threat to the campus, but noted members of the campus community live in evacuation areas or may be impacted by road closures.
