1/ Most “QUANTUM” computing is bullshit—

—duping investors + attracting wannabe intellectuals pretending to grok—but showcasing naive ignorance.

Furthered by fact that qubits are real
surrounded by buzzwordy tech: cryogenics + superconductivity

“Quantum Supremacy” is....

2/a parlor trick for very specific set-up for a calculation that

(1) could be done w/simpler algorithms + way more efficient computing not needing complicated klugey visual sculptured beauty mistaken for genius

(2) has performed NO competitively useful practical calculation...

3/ It is ABSOLUTELY worthwhile for RESEARCH—and for the INEVITABLE but *undirected*, unpredictable + surprising insights that arise from the wake of *directed* attempts

—but several venture funded “quantum” co’s are (wittingly) outright frauds

Buyer (+ Believer) BEWARE.

4/ WAIT! I take it back—i just found an article that changes my mind

it says of Quantum Computing: “The myriad possibilities are limited only by your imagination...”

This article was JUST published <zooms in, checks date >
