It's remarkable how credulous everyone is being of the story that Trump, who's dead-to-rights and has no evidence to offer in his defense, wants a lengthy show trial rather than for this to be over quickly. Watch what happens: it'll be over quickly, which is what he really wants.

By getting everyone at the White House to spread, and everyone in media to report, that he wants a lengthy show trial, Trump has given America the impression that he actually thinks he has a defense. He doesn't, whatsoever, and everyone behind the scenes is surely telling him so.

Look at the history of Trump fooling America in this way: he said he wanted to talk to Mueller; he didn't. He said he wanted to participate in the impeachment inquiry; he didn't. He said the material evidence would exculpate him; he wouldn't turn any of it over. It's all just BS.
