Remember that time everyone in media was credulously reporting that Trump wanted a really long and involved trial because that's the lie his aides were selling journalists that particular week and I said nope guilty defendants want their cases gone *immediately*?

I remember that

PS/ It's mystifying that ~14,000 lies into the Trump administration America had to sit here for weeks listening to journalists tell us that Trump really wanted an airing of the case against him rather than per usual to hide behind his privilege and escape liability for his crimes

PS2/ There's a lesson here for journalists they'll fully ignore: either punish anonymous White House sources for lying to you by never using them again, stop using White House sources, or only report White House statements followed by a caveat that we've no reason to believe them
