I hope Republicans remain strong in keeping yet more subsidies for renewables out of stimulus

Brookings, World Resources Institute, and most experts, including pro-renewables ones, have strongly & publicly opposed extending those dumb corrupt production subsidies since *2012*

*Eight* years ago leading renewable energy advocates, including I, advocated phasing out the the production tax credit for wind

The wind subsidy has been in place for nearly 30 years

That’s gross corruption & proof wind isn’t viable without subsidy

 https://www.brookings.edu/research/beyond-boom-and-bust-putting-clean-tech-on-a-path-to-subsidy-independence/

You can’t on the one hand claim renewables are so cheap that we don’t need fossil fuels and nuclear & on the other keep coming back to the trough for more subsidies

That they’ve apparently chosen to do so in the midst of a pandemic is gross abuse of power
