Follow the World Health Organization's instructions to reduce your risk of infection:

1/ Frequently clean hands by using alcohol-based hand rub or soap and water.

2/ When coughing and sneezing cover mouth and nose with flexed elbow or tissue - throw issue away immediately and wash hands.

3/ Avoid close contact with anyone that has fever and cough.

The President today decided to continue federal advisory for social distancing through the end of April

He made the right decision

We are far from getting COVID19 under control and 4 more weeks of distancing will be critical

Will it be enough? Depends on how we use the time...

Whether it'll be enough depends on if we use the time to:

1 Scale up testing so we can test not just the sick, but also their contacts, and a sample of healthy people

2 Build infrastructure to isolate people who are infected.

3 Strengthen our hospitals, protect providers

If we do these things and if # of new cases declines substantially, we can open up parts of our nation, get back some semblance of normalcy

But we'll need aggressive testing/tracing/isolation

Shoring up our HC system

Investing in Tx, vaccines

Remaining vigilant for resurgence

Let me add one more thing: a quote by Tony Fauci.

We don't make the timeline.

The virus makes the timeline.

We should do all the things outlined above now.

But, its the facts on the ground that will dictate when we can lift restrictions, and where.
