This is a reminder to all international students applying for college in any foreign country (not your home country), please shine your eyes and avoid diploma mills.
Diploma mills” claim they can provide a good college education and employment opportunities.
Students enroll in for-profit colleges under bloated promises, often obtaining bogus certificates from unaccredited institutions, take unaccredited classes that aren’t transferable to other schools. Along the way, they rack up thousands in debt, which they often cant repay.
I am going to tell you the truth and why I keep saying y'all should be careful of people who say they are edu consultants with no proven track record of their work (audio).
Diploma mills use slick marketing, high pressure marketing, fake edu-consultants and even loan advisors.
A diploma mill, also known as a degree mill, is a phony university that sells college diplomas and transcripts—the actual pieces of paper—rather than the educational experience. Diploma mills are scam colleges that literally crank out fake diplomas to anyone (shine your eyes).
Don’t be fooled by degree mills. Many maintain impressive-looking websites, and all of them advertise heavily online under the attractive terms “fast degree,” “life experience degrees,” “fast online degree” and “work experience degree.
Again do a THOROUGH research.
To protect yourself, look behind the curtain. Flip past the flashy graphics on the website and the promises of an instant degree for the name of the school’s accreditation agency in the country where the college/University is located.
In the US, looool you will see many diploma mills and also in other countries (they are everywhere. Greedy people who want to start college as a for-profit business but don't want to do the appropriate thing to get accreditation). They exploit desperate students (BEWARE).
If you are applying to any college or University in the US, take the time to verify that the agency is recognized by the Council on Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) or the U.S. Department of Education.
