Oho! Putin's longtime press secretary, Dmitry Peskov, has tested positive for the coronavirus, Russian state media report.

According to @rianru, Putin spox Peskov has been hospitalized.

Russia's prime minister and culture minister have also tested positive for the coronavirus.

Peskov's wife, Tatiana Navka, an Olympic ice dancing champion, has reportedly also tested positive for the coronavirus and been hospitalized.

Kremlin pool reporters say Peskov was last seen in public with Putin on April 30, within 14-day window that @WHO says carriers of coronavirus can be asymptomatic. By WHO's definition, that would make Putin a "contact" who health experts say should self-isolate for 14 days.

It was only yesterday that Putin announced the easing of a nationwide lockdown and said that Russians should get back to work.

Hmm. Peskov says he last saw Putin more than a month ago.

RIA's Kremlin pool reporters said earlier that he was last in public with Putin on April 30, but perhaps that was via video?

This encounter was definitely more than a month ago.

More from Navka, Peskov's wife. She said her "whole family was in strict isolation. My husband was working. In this regard, there is only one explanation: most likely, this came from him, since he was the first to get sick. He brought it home from work."
