Follow the World Health Organization's instructions to reduce your risk of infection:

1/ Frequently clean hands by using alcohol-based hand rub or soap and water.

2/ When coughing and sneezing cover mouth and nose with flexed elbow or tissue - throw issue away immediately and wash hands.

3/ Avoid close contact with anyone that has fever and cough.

"At Western Washington University in Bellingham, Wash., over 400 out of ~ 2,500-staff have been targeted with fraudulent claims." There's evidence the fraud has occurred in Florida, Massachusetts, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Rhode Island and Wyoming. 

"In some cases, workers said they learned of the fraud after receiving a notification about a claim in their name from the Employment Security Department. Several victims shared screenshots showing that the state had already transferred money to impostor bank accounts."

"It might seem strange that people in Washington would be asking to receive their benefits via ACH deposits at a bank in Oklahoma... "We are riding out the Coronavirus pandemic while staying with family in Oklahoma." 

"The fraud network is believed to consist of hundred of “mules" who send on most of the funds to Nigerian fraudsters.

“In the state of Washington, individuals residing out-of-state are receiving multiple ACH deposits from the State of Washington Unemployment Benefits Program."
