Hi folks, I put together a list of the 49 cities that protested across the country and the names and numbers for their jails. It's important to call and stand up for the protestors and demand they are released, esp. due to the risk of Covid19 exposure:

A few caveats,
1) I did this as quickly as I could today and to the best of my ability but some things may be wrong here, because of that I've left the comment feature on so we can update if needed.

2) Organizers may say this impedes in their city instead of helps, for any number of reasons. If we hear that, we will take out that information and leave a note on the row.

3) This is not a replacement for the requests for money or demands that local organizers need to sustain a bail fund. Please donate there if you can before any other action.

4) In addition to phone numbers, there are also scripts to help you make calls for residents and non-residents of the city. In the event, you are feeling weary about what to say.

5) Covid19 makes prisons/ jails even more dangerous right now. It is deeply important we get protestors out as soon as possible. It is a life and death situation. Not everyone is out protesting but anyone can call and tell them how their version of justice damages communities.

6) If local organizers want to be editors on this spreadsheet, I'm happy to loop you in. I just kept it to comment so that the integrity of the sheet didn't change due to malfeasance.
