Follow the World Health Organization's instructions to reduce your risk of infection:

1/ Frequently clean hands by using alcohol-based hand rub or soap and water.

2/ When coughing and sneezing cover mouth and nose with flexed elbow or tissue - throw issue away immediately and wash hands.

3/ Avoid close contact with anyone that has fever and cough.

New findings from Recovery Trial of Hydroxychloroquine for COVID19.

Study from the UK -- stopped early because lack of benefit for critically ill patients.

Is this the end of the HCQ story? Not yet

A short thread 

First -- Don't love study released via press release so we should wait for the data to be sure.

It appears that this therapy was primarily in severely ill people (mortality rates around 25%).

It doesn't address whether HCQ useful in patients with milder disease...


Even Remdesivir not really helpful in sickest patients

I suspect for folks with very advanced disease, anti-viral therapy likely not useful

So we need trial data on HCQ earlier in disease course

And in different populations

Then we can decide whether HCQ is useful or not
