For Donbas wonks, a development: blogger @den_kazansky & @ostro_v editor @s_garmash to rep Donetsk IDPs in controversial Minsk council. Both originally from Donetsk but now in Kyiv, they've becoming hardliners. That angers some IDPs who say they have no reps still in war zone.
To be clear, nothing wrong with having Kazansky, Garmash on council. I've known Denis for 9 years, even did some reporting with him back in the day. Criticism, including that coming from Enrique Menendez, an IDP also from Donetsk, is that there should be ppl with various POVs...
...meaning representation for all in Donetsk and not just one end of the political spectrum.
As Enrique told me earlier today: "Where are voices from [the government controlled area of eastern Ukraine] who actually live here? Why is their future to be decided without them?"
