Next stage of the latest down-cycle portion of the never-ending carousel that is inter-Korean relations:
Pyongyang and Seoul readying for the leaflet wars.
North Korea is readying its own leaftlets denouncing South Korean President Moon Jae-in and the SK government in general. South Korea expressed its unhappiness and Pyongyang was happy to tell Seoul where to stick it, in essence.
South Korean media are also reporting increasing NK troop activity at the border, though mainly low-profile activity involving a small number of troops clearing paths to dormant positions in the DMZ
There may be occasions in the future when I share all-caps headlines about the Korean Peninsula but just remember - this is the same movie getting the remake treatment every 3-5 years.
When you know it's really serious is when you see all-caps letters about a magnitude 5.0+ earthquake in the Northeastern region of North Korea at 0 depth.
That and when there is another satellite launch (Unha/Kwangmyongsong)
(just to spell out in case there are folks who are unfamiliar, North Korean nuclear tests are usually conducted in NE region and often confirmed with a man-made earthquake with a magnitude of 5.0+. Unha/Kwangmyeongsong are satellite rocket launches.)
