We need an industry term of art for the sprawling category formerly known as alerts... that shouldn't alert anyone, or at least not wake people up. 🤔📈
(Is there one I don't know about? What do y'all call them?)
Everybody starts out alerting on symptoms and thresholds. Sure.
But as time goes on you become resilient to more and more things, which creates a category of "stuff somebody should look at and possibly fix eventually", but it doesn't impact your users and urgency is low.
What we do with those non-paging alerts is one of the most interesting and under-addressed questions in the operational landscape, IMO.
