A thought about the economy and the election. Big reported job gains in May and June didn't move the needle. All indications are that July will be much weaker. And at that point there will only b 2 more reports b4 the election (October #s will come after election day) 1/

Even if August and Sept. are blockbusters (unlikely), do we really think 2 months of good, even great numbers will do much for Trump? Nobody can or should be complacent after 2016, but Trump is rapidly running out of time 2/

It's almost a sure thing that there will be an attempted October Surprise — Barr will bring spurious charges against Biden, or Trump will announce a miracle cure, or something. But who except the faithful will believe anything this gang says? 3/
