A thread on #FreeBritney. How and where did it begin? ⬇️⬇️⬇️

Britney Spears has been in a conservatorship since 2008. According to this article, it was alleged the reason for the conservatorship was because she had dementia.

This article, from 2009, questions the conservatorship and claims Britney is trying to get out of it. Allegations are made she isn’t allowed a cell phone and someone snuck her one.

Another article from 2009 details a court hearing. According to the article, Jamie Spears said, “Sometimes she is allowed to use the cellphone and sometimes she is not.”

In 2010, a judge ruled Britney would remain under a conservatorship. Keep in mind, she had recently released an album and went on a massive world tour.

After the court ruling in September 2010, Britney was photographed.

Also, allegedly in 2009, Britney left the following recording claiming her dad threatened to take her kids from her.

In 2016, while promoting her new album Glory, Britney allegedly spoke about the conservatorship. Sources claim she said she had to be strategic about making the album and she was getting more control.

In 2019, Britney’s new show Domination was postponed due to her father’s health.

In March of 2019, Andrew Wallet, Britney’s lawyer (chosen by her father), reportedly stepped down from his role as co-conservator.

On April 16, 2019, a podcast (Britney’s Gram) posted an episode with a voicemail. The voicemail was from an alleged paralegal that claimed Britney was forced into a mental health facility.

I tried to follow a timeline, but I want to add more information. Here is a letter allegedly written by Britney Spears claiming she was set up and lied to.

In August 2019, just a couple of weeks before the court would decide if Britney was receiving the appropriate treatment, her psychiatrist suddenly died.

In May 2019, Britney allegedly told a judge she was forced to enter the mental health facility against her will.

In September 2019, Britney’s custodial time was reduced after an alleged abuse incident involving her father and oldest son.
